is world peace too much to ask for?

For the rest of the school year I'll be dedicating my time mostly for a documentary I'm making for class. It'll be on gang violence in Dorchester, MA. As some of you may know (this is going towards those who have been on Boston Project before) in 2005 there were 75 homicides total and 39 of those victims were under the age of 25. A project that normally started out only to be for their Senior Exhibition, four students from Codman Academy decided to design a walk-through memorial that would be displayed in the center of town every spring through summer to raise awareness of all the violence that is happening around them and to hopefully help lower the stats of Dorchesters violence and crime rates. I've decided to devote my project on helping these four students' goal. Violence obviously not only takes place in Dorchester, it takes place everywhere. So hopefully with my documentary, it can raise awareness in the community around here. I'll have around 2-3 months to film, interview, and edit. Wish me luck :)

They gathered 75 pairs of shoes which stood for each of the 75 victims lost to homicide and the shoe sizes arranged from baby size to the biggest to show the age difference of the victims (spray painted black), gold plaques with each of the 75 victims names, and boards (which they spray painted red) for the final thing.
