Graduation.

shower - 4:00 pm
getting out of the shower, getting dressed/getting ready etc - 4:30 pm
calling my mother and father frantically because they have not come home yet - 5:15 pm
rush into the car, drive off - 5:45 pm
arrive at school, put my robe on - 6:00 pm
picture whoring begins - 6:15 pm
all of the soon-to-be graduates gather in the auditorium - 6:30 pm
begin lining up for our entrance into the fieldhouse - 6:50 pm
marching into the fieldhouse into our seats/graduation ceremony begins - 7:00 pm

I'm not going to lie, I wasn't really paying attention during the graduation ceremony. The speeches? Yeah only listened to less than half of it. I even started counting the names of all of the graduates on the pamphlet (and had to restart countless times because I kept on miscounting). Once they started calling students up to receive their diplomas, I became anxious. Question after question, statement after statement stared popping into my head: "What if they mispronounce my name?? Wang isn't that hard to say..." "I HAVE TO PEEEE!!!" "UGH this is taking forever." "What if I trip while walking on the stage?" "I shouldn't have worn these heels..." And then finally, "Rose Meng Wang". YESS!! It was finally my turn. That's it ladies and gents, it's over.

Class of 2009, we did it!

It was definitely a fun four years (even though it became pretty drama-ful at times) but it did indeed go by pretty fast. I know, I know, beginning of freshman year Bazydlo (our grade administrator) told us that our "four years are going to go by really fast" and everyone snickered thinking it was all a bunch of bs. Now that high school is over, it really did. From our freshman days when we were terrified of the very large and incharge seniors, to our sophomore semi where we thought we were freaking awesome because we had a statue of the Eifle Tower as part of our theme. From dying of PA in junior year (for those of you who don't attend Shrewsbury High School, it's basically a very long project that's given to us because they feel the need to ruin our lives), to "dominating" on field day during our senior year. I had a blast. I really hope I keep in touch with the close friends I made in high school, because that would be fantabulous. But then again, who knows what the future may have instore! High school is FINALLY over. Lucky for us seniors, we get out a month before everyone else. HA! Suckasss :)

More Leaves Please.

I unfortunately just returned from my last teen conference yesterday. How do I feel? I'm not exactly sure how to put it in words..so here it goes.

My knowledge of Christianity has certainly grown deeper not by learning new concepts, but because of the way Bill Kallenberg worded everything and preached it to us. I loved the stories he used as examples. He was such a chill person and he was a good choice. Not only is he like super famous (he's had dinner with both of the Bush's at the White House, but he also knows members of the Dave Matthews Band, Andy Roddick, and other famous people). Anyways, one of the concepts that stuck to me most and I will remember forever is: Seek --> Find --> Know --> Love. We must seek God, when we seek God we will find God. Once we find God, we will know God. After knowing God, we will love God. I'm not exactly sure why, but I love this concept so much :)

Like I said earlier, this year was indeed my last conference. I can honestly say, I have grown so much through Teen Conference and I am so thankful that I was given the opportunity to go on this retreat every year for the past 4-5 years. I have developed so many amazing relationships with so many amazing people (it's kind of ridiculous?) haha but yes I'm sure you all know who you are. Thank you so much for helping me through life, I love you all!

Here's just one picture. Basically sums up the awesomeness of the class of 2009. You can find the rest on facebook since I currently don't have any time to post any on here.

winterball 2009

I've seem to notice that everytime seniors go out to do anything that's run by the school, the words "aww this is going to be our last [insert event here] ever!" So here it goes, last Winterball ever :(

...Kidding. Well, not really because it technically IS my last Winterball event as a Shrewsbury High School student. Who knows, I might just get invited to go next year. That'd be exciting. Anywho, it was fun. My ladies lookin fiiiiiiiiiiiiiine :)

Accepted!

Accepted to King's College in Manhattan!

I am so super duper excited. I guess you can say King's is one of my top choice. I want to major in Broadcast Journalism/Communications and I feel that Manhattan would be the best ideal place to be in because of the many opportunities the city can offer me when it comes to finding internships and even a job.

New Years

It's a new year which means reflections and new resolutions. Looking back, I can honestly say that there were some highs (like...way high like past the clouds and the mesosphere). There were some lows as well. I try to live my life regret-free, but I can honestly say I have regretted many things I have done this past year. Oh well, whatever to last year. I can't dwell on the past, because that just won't be healthy for me. All I can do is look forward to the future :)

Last night was the best New Year's Eve I have ever had. No, I didn't go out and get filthy-ly trashed with a bunch of friends. No, I didn't go to Manhattan for the weekend and watch the ball drop. Instead, I stayed inside and cuddled with the love of my life.

Note to self: Damnit Rose you NEED to try harder to keep your resolutions cause you never do. Never!!

Black Friday Craze

What is that a picture of you ask? Well for those lovers of shopping, you might be able to recognize this place: Wrentham Outlets.

This isn't just an ordinary time for Wrentham Outlets. This was indeed the night of Thanksgiving. I love Black Friday. So my parents had around 20 Asian college students over our house for our annual feast where our main dish is Asian duck instead of Turkey. After, I really wanted to go to Wrentham outlets and Liz did as well. So we managed to convince my parents to let us go. One of the other students heard the word "shopping" and they wanted to go too. Within the span of 15 seconds the rest of the college population at our house wanted to go as well. So, I drove my parents van and Jonathan drove his own car and off we went at 9pm. We arrived in less than an hour with surprisingly no traffic and a fantastic parking spot. Only problem is, the stores weren't open. They weren't going to open until midnight. Liz and I decided to venture and walk around then decided to wait in line outside of Coach. There we were, in the freezing cold for around 2 hours. The wait was so worth it. I love my new coach bag. We headed back around 5am. Which is technically illegal cause with my JOL I couldn't drive past 12:30am. Oops! Headed back home, slept for around 4 hours, woke up, went out for more shoppin after. I love shopping in general. Some of you may think that I am a shop-a-holic...you're all wrong. I can control myself ;) haha.
